Dermamelan, a treatment for stubborn pigmentation brought on by acne scarring on the face or body, is the result of years of research into skin pigmentation disorders and offers amazing results for treating melasma.
DERMAMELAN PEEL: WHAT IS IT?
Skin blemishes brought on by melanin, such as melasma/chloasma, can be effectively treated with dermamelan. This will enhance the skin’s general tone and luminosity. In order to achieve the best results, it entails a combination of professional treatment and a home maintenance cream that must be applied as instructed.
WHAT PURPOSE DOES THE PROCEDURE SERVE?
The following pigmentation problems respond well to treatment with Dermamelan:
- Brown or dark brown patches of skin called chloasma or melasma typically appear with hormonal changes, such as pregnancy or taking the pill.
- Tiny, sharply outlined pigmented spot (s) like freckles.
- Hyperpigmentation is caused by inflammation, such as brown spots left over from acne scarring
- Severe skin mottling brought on by prolonged sun exposure.
- Blotchiness: Skin that is uneven due to a variety of causes, including genetics and sun damage.
WHO IS SUITABLE FOR THE TREATMENT?
Dermamelan is appropriate for all skin types, regardless of whether you have severe acne scarring or have naturally developed blotchy skin over the course of your life. It is an effective treatment that yields excellent results.
HOW DOES THE PROCEDURE GO?
Two stages of the Dermamelan procedure are completed in a total of 12 months.
A thorough consultation lasting about 1 hour will be part of your first appointment at The Skinology Centre. The first phase of the treatment will then be administered to you; you must continue it daily at home in accordance with the given instructions. Under no circumstances may the treatment be stopped during the entire prescribed period of time. During this time, no other products may be used. You will be required to return to the clinic and receive your Dermamelan peel after this initial period. A mask will be used during this procedure, and it must be left on for at least 6 hours (you will remove it at home).
Following phase one, you will be required to attend additional clinic visits at 48 hours, one month after treatment, and then at 3, 6, and nine months. We’ll give you a rigorous home care schedule to follow every day in addition to clinic visits.
WHAT ARE THE RISKS OR SIDE EFFECTS?
Although Dermamelan is a very safe procedure that produces excellent results, there are a few common side effects that can happen:
Skin Tightness: Five to six days after removing your Dermamelan cream mask, your skin may feel constrictive and look swollen.
Skin Redness: Depending on the patient, the face may appear red after the mask is removed and while using the at-home cream.
Skin Flaking/Peeling – During the first week of treatment, it’s normal to experience some level of skin flaking/peeling. This can differ from patient to patient, so you might want to plan to take a few days off work. Peeling may continue throughout your course of treatment, but as the skin begins to develop a tolerance, it usually starts to subside.
WHAT RESULTS CAN YOU USUALLY EXPECT?
The majority of the time, this treatment shows results a week after receiving professional care, with 80% improvement for a month. At this point, the majority of people are thrilled and delighted with the outcomes. It will be obvious after a month whether the patient wants a second peel or not. The vast majority of people, however, do not require this.
Additional advantages include plump, hydrated skin, smaller pores (known to lessen spots), control of sebaceous secretion (greasy skin), and general skin surface renewal.
